The Global Shapers Community – An Initiative of the World Economic Forum
The Global Shapers Community is a network of young change makers under 30, launched by the World Economic Forum (WEF). With 11,000+ members across 450+ city-based hubs in 140+ countries, Shapers work together to tackle pressing local, regional, and global challenges.
Through this community, Shapers gain access to the WEF’s platforms, collaborate across hubs, and amplify youth voices on global stages.

Ulaanbaatar Hub
Founded in 2011, the Global Shapers Ulaanbaatar Hub (GSUBH) is Mongolia’s only hub and part of this powerful global network. Over the past decade, GSUBH has led numerous impact-driven projects in areas like mental health, diversity & inclusion, urban development, and youth career empowerment.

Step 1: 📝 Start Your Application

If you're interested in joining, first check your eligibility, then complete this form and upload your supporting documents.

Shapers are selected based on achievement, leadership potential, and a genuine commitment to positive impact. We value diversity in all forms - age, gender, disability, background, political beliefs, and more - and strive to reflect this in our Hub.

All application materials, including your responses, must be written in English to ensure a fair review. Final decisions are made by the Ulaanbaatar Hub Recruitment Committee, though in rare cases, the Global Shapers HQ in Geneva may step in.

Note: According to the Global Shapers Charter, hubs may not recruit more than three members from the same organization or company.

Step 2. ✅ Check Your Eligibility
You must meet all the following criteria:

• Be between 18–27 years old at the time of application (born on or after Feb 1, 1999)

• Be a permanent resident of Ulaanbaatar

• Be committed to contributing to both local and global projects through the Hub

Step 3. 📮 Upload Your CV and Fill Out this Application Form

To apply for this opportunity, please submit your CV in PDF format. Next, fill out the necessary information in this Google Form. The form is simple and requires only essential details.

Step 4. 🎥 Record and Submit a Brief Video

Prepare a brief video, no longer than 4 minutes answering these two questions:

1. What local issue(s) would you be most passionate to help solve if you joined the Ulaanbaatar Hub? (What skills would you bring? What impact do you hope to create? Why are you the right person for this?)

2. We’re looking for self-motivated, committed, and proactive Shapers who drive the community. How do you see yourself contributing - not just with ideas, but through action?

Video requirements:

• Begin by stating your full name

• Stick to the time limit: maximum 4 minutes

• Upload as unlisted on YouTube and submit the link in the email form

• You may speak in either Mongolian or English (as per your preference). If you're shortlisted, the subsequent interview can also be conducted in the language of your choice

It is important to note that, as the Global Shapers Community is an international network, working-level English is a plus. Rest assured, the language of your video and interview will not influence the overall recruitment decision.
