Call for Expression of Interest - Children & Youth Resilience Hub, COP17

Apply to host a session at the Children & Youth Resilience Hub during the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification #COP17 in Ulaanbaatar.

The Hub is a space to where young leaders, technical experts, and cross-sectoral partners meet to share solutions and advance action on land, drought resilience, and climate adaptation.

Only individuals and organisations already confirmed to participate in #UNCCDCOP17 can apply.

The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) recognizes the crucial role that youth play in tackling desertification, land degradation, and drought (DLDD). In line with UNCCD’s commitment to engaging young people, the organization has launched several initiatives that empower youth, including the UNCCD Youth Caucus, the Land Heroes campaign, the Capacity Building Marketplace, support for the Decent Jobs for Youth initiative, and the official UNCCD Youth Engagement Strategy (YES).

The participation of the UNCCD Youth Caucus at COP17 is a crucial opportunity to showcase the innovative approaches that young people are implementing across the globe to address desertification and land degradation. The Children and Youth Resilience Hub at COP17 aims to be an inclusive platform for meaningful youth engagement on critical issues such as resilience, adaptation, and sustainable development. Through a mix of collaborative events, networking opportunities, and advocacy sessions, the Hub will unite young leaders, technical experts, and cross-sectoral partners to foster dialogue, share solutions, and advance action on drought resilience, land restoration, and climate adaptation.

This Expression of Interest (EOI) is only open to individuals and organizations that are already confirmed participants of UNCCD COP17. Submission of an application does not constitute registration or accreditation for COP17. This is not a funding opportunity, and the UNCCD Youth Caucus will not provide financial support for travel, accommodation, visas, registration, or any other participation-related expenses. Applicants are expected to have secured their own accreditation and resources to attend COP17.
